Oulala targets Indian mobile market

Daily fantasy sports (DFS) operator Oulala has revealed plans to expand into the Indian mobile market after securing a partnership with Bravio. Under the deal, Oulala will work with Australian B2B and B2C provider of online digital entertainment to penetrate what it said is a “relatively untapped” area.

Bravio recently acquired mobile marketing agency Mobimedia India and will be able to utilise this business to support Oulala with its expansion plans. Mobimedia India both implements and manages strategic integrated mobile marketing campaigns for corporate clients and brands.

“Since Fantasy Football is growing in India in terms of engaging sports fans and utilising their knowledge and skills, we think that our platform is exactly what they need,” Oulala’s co-founder and managing director Benjamin Carlotti said.

Richard Boyd, chief technology officer at Bravio, commented: “It’s a fantastic opportunity to partner with team Oulala; we can now offer our large mobile Indian network the option to play daily fantasy football. The Indian public loves football, and it is the logical step to offer them a skill-based DFS platform.”

“We aim to launch in India quite quickly and follow up in Myanmar with a new low key solution; we may also possibly offer our DFS skill-based games to the Australian market for the up and coming 2018/19 season,” Boyd added.

Oulala also recently tied up with online and SMS based sportsbook Safaribet Kenya to expand its network into Africa.
