“After consolidation in Brazil, Aposta Ganha is already in Mexico and will open in new markets”

Aposta Ganha has been increasingly standing out in Brazil, and to find out how the company reached this particular moment, GMB spoke to Hugo Baungartner, VP of global markets. “In addition to having our own platform that gives us agility in implementing new functions, we are dedicated to offering the best user experience.” Consolidated in Brazil, the site is already operating in Mexico, where it has Rafa Marques and Ronaldinho Gaúcho as local ambassadors, and is targeting two other countries in the medium term.

Games Magazine Brasil - Grupo Aposta Ganha has been standing out in the Brazilian market. What does this performance owe to?
Hugo Baungartner -
We have grown a lot in the last two years. Among the reasons is the fact that we have our own platform, which gives us enormous speed, such as implementing new products, promotions and features. Furthermore, we are always looking for trends in the market. In 2023 we started to have several personalized games under the Aposta Ganha brand with our ambassadors. It worked very well and we will continue on this path.

We have very easy communication with the public and the market. In addition to participating in the main events in the sector, we also get very close to users, carrying out numerous promotions and activations, which captivate them, in addition to the fact that we participate in shows and parties throughout Brazil to increasingly engage our customers.

How to position yourself in a market undergoing regulation and do well against the competition? What differentiates Aposta Ganha from the rest?
As I mentioned, having our own platform puts us ahead. We are in the certification phase and are talking to the Ministry of Finance to meet the requirements and send all the data to them. We are prepared for this.

Obviously, we have many loyal customers and we continue to work hard to build loyalty. At the same time, we are very attentive to responsible gaming issues and our campaigns already show this and our concern in this regard. We have also formed numerous partnerships with a view to providing the best user experience.

The company is also starting operations in Mexico. Is it a clear demonstration of Aposta Ganha’s objectives regarding its internationalization?
Exactly. We had been working on the internationalization of the brand for some time and I joined Aposta Ganha with this objective. The first market was Mexico, which we launched just over two months ago, where we have Rafa Marques and Ronaldinho Gaúcho as ambassadors for the Mexican market. We have received a lot of positive feedback.

Are new markets in the focus of Aposta Ganha?
Yes, we have two new markets to be opened and we are already discussing this with the board. But with regulation in Brazil in 2024, we will focus a lot on the country, consolidate the brand in Mexico once and for all and only then move on to new borders.

Once again you will be at ICE London. For what purposes are you going to the fair?
Being at ICE is an obligation for everyone who works in our market and especially in this edition, which says goodbye to London.

The objectives are to strengthen relationships with our partners and meet with four or five who are finalizing details of new tools, services and products.

How to apply new trends in Brazil?
Since 2023 we have been doing this with game customization and some exclusives. We have several crash games developed exclusively for Aposta Ganha, including the ‘vaquejada’ theme, a big trend especially in Brazil. We are open to new technologies, products and trends.
