Highest representation body of Brazilian lawyers to debate casinos legalization

The OAB (Order of Lawyers of Brazil) will promote a panel on the legalization of casinos in the country during its 1st Congress of Law applied to Hospitality and Tourism. Specialists Murillo Akio Arakaki and Toni Sando de Oliveira will give a legal, economic and tourist view about the legalization of casinos during the debate.

The Order of Lawyers of Brazil (OAB - Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil-) is the highest representation body of Brazilian lawyers and has a great influence on the national political scene. Only the OAB has the power to authorize the exercise of the profession of lawyer, granted after a rigorous examination.

On November 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the 1st Congress of Law applied to Hospitality and Tourism of the Order of Lawyers of Brazil will be held in the OAB / SP Salon, in the center of the city of São Paulo. The event is promoted by the Law Commission applied to Hospitality and Tourism and by the Department of Culture and Events of OAB / SP.

The congress will address the following topics:
1) The importance of advocacy in hospitality;
2) Collection of ECAD in hotel rooms;
3) General Tourism Law and its need for reform;
4) Legalization of Casinos in Brazil;
5) Environmental Law in hotel and tourism;
6) Impact of the labor reform in the hotel sector;
7) Hotel investments;
8) Guests and tourists as victims of crimes.

The event is sponsored by ABIH / SP - Brazilian Association of Hotels Industry Regional of São Paulo; ABR - Brazilian Association of Resorts; São Paulo Convention and Visitors Bureau; Abrajet / SP - Brazilian Association of Tourism Journalists; Secovi / SP and InnVestidor, while the Revista Hotéis will be the Official Media (http://www.stonline.com.br).

The panel on legalization of casinos will be the fourth of the congress at 1 pm consisting of: Dr. Murillo Akio Arakaki, Lawyer; President of the Law Commission Applied to Hospitality and Tourism at the OAB SP and Effective Member of the Tax Law Commission and the Tax Administrative Litigation Committee of OAB SP; and Toni Sando de Oliveira, Executive President of the São Paulo Convention & Visitors Bureau and Graduated in Business Administration at São Judas Tadeu University.
