Jon Jayal, Quixant’s COO

“Brazil could become one of the world’s leading gaming markets”

(Exclusive GMB) – Quixant will be part of the new edition of the Brazilian Gaming Congress (BgC) that kicks off today in São Paulo. Jon Jayal, firm’s Chief Operating Officer, talks with GMB about the presence of the company at the event, and also how importante is Brazil for Quixant and their plans once the gaming market is regulated.

GMB - Tell us about Quixant's currently presence in Brazil. How important is the country for the company?
Jon Jayal - At Quixant, we view Brazil as an extremely important potential market. We have a dedicated sales team focused on the market and are actively monitoring the legislative process in the country. As plans unfold, we will be further increasing our presence in Brazil.

At next Brasilian Gaming Congress, Quixant will be once again present. How will the company participate?
As we did last November, we will be taking a booth at BgC. We found last year’s show constructive to build relationships with new contacts and engage in a dialogue with existing customers focused on the market.

What are your expectations regarding the next edition of BgC?
As with the previous edition of the congress, BgC is vital for three primary reasons: networking opportunities, a further understanding of logistical matters, and clarification on the status of market regulation. Arguably the most important expectation of the event is to attain a firm understanding of the realistic potential of gaming in Brazil.

What is the main objective of the company when entering the future Brazilian gaming market? What plans does the company have?
In the long-term, our goal is to be the leading supplier of computer gaming platforms and monitors to the market. With the benefit of Quixant’s highly developed Gaming Ecosystem® we can offer customers stable, optimised gaming platform and monitor solutions which can accelerate time-to-market.

How is Quixant following the process of legalizing gaming in Brazil?
We have numerous direct customers and contacts in, or connected to, the region who regularly update us and we follow the media as closely as possible. BgC is another major part of the information-gathering process, too.

With a well done project, what effect do you expect that gaming can generate in Brazil?
Brazil could become one of the world’s leading gaming markets. It goes without saying, though, that success of this magnitude requires the most detailed planning possible and a rigorous regulatory infrastructure.
