Bingo Roma is located on Avenida Princesa Isabel, in the Azenha neighborhood and has had a large audience.
The gaming venue offers traditional bingo game and also video-bingo machines to visitors. The reopening of Bingo Roma is anchored in the decision of the Court of Appeals of the Special Criminal Courts of Rio Grande do Sul which determined that in the State, the exploitation of games of chance is no longer considered a criminal contravention.
The decision led the state prosecutor to file the Extraordinary Appeal (RE 966.177) with the Federal Supreme Court and resulted in the General Repercussion, which will be judged by the STF ministers on a date to be chosen by Supreme Court President Carmen Lúcia.
While the final decision of the STF does not come out, in Porto Alegre, besides Bingo Roma, there are already at least five more bingos operating with cards and more than 50 venues with slots.
