How
do you see SAGSE this year, since Clarion has a wide experience in organizing
events and has held excellent meetings to discuss a gaming law in Brazil?
Sergio Jardim / Vivian Lima - This is our first
visit to SAGSE and we were very impressed with the quality of the event and the
presence of the main players in the worldwide gaming industry. We were very
well received by the exhibitors, to whom we presented our project of the fifth
Brazilian Gaming Congress and saw a lot of professionalism in the organization
and also in the beauty of the stands.
How
was the reception you had when presenting the new edition of the BgC to the
exhibitors?
It was very good, since there is a great
expectation regarding the regulation of the Brazilian gaming market and
everyone wants to be as close as possible to understand how it will happen and
then decide how they will participate in this vibrant market that is yet to be
born.
Could Brazil have a fair like SAGSE?
For now we have a congress, which has been very vigorous and with good
attendance of people interested in the Brazilian market. I am sure that, since
the market gets regulated, we will hold a fair as great as this one in São
Paulo.
How
do you see the gaming market in Brazil?
We still can not make such a positive prediction,
as we do not yet have an approved law, but all the discussions in the National
Congress have advanced a lot and this gives us an expectation that in 2018
everything will be clearer and Brazil will attract even more attention of the
global gaming industry. In our view, the opening of the gaming market in Brazil
is very close, since there is a maturity of all the ones involved in the
discussions for the approval of a broad law.
So you can anticipate a productive year
with a lot of work for Clarion…
Of course, yes. Everything is ready for ICE 2018, where we will be hosting
the leading operators and gaming solution providers in the world. We are sure
that many Brazilians will go to London to follow the news and we also expect
government agents who will be in charge of regulating and supervising the
activity in Brazil.
