CJEC poll: 58% is in favor of gambling legalization in Brazil

The poll conducted by the Court of Justice of Ceará (CJEC) asked during last week whether the netizens are in favor of the Senate bill that suggests legalization of gambling in Brazil, as jogo do bicho and casinos. A percentage of 58% (83 votes) of the participants claimed to be in favor of the proposal. For them, it is important that these games that already exist have a regulation.

Already 34% (49 votes) said no, because they believe that the practice can facilitate money laundering. Another 8% (11 votes) said they had no opinion on the subject. In all, 143 people participated.

The bill legalizes jogo do bicho, bingo, video bingo, sports and non-sports bets, online casinos and integrated leisure complexes. According to the proposition, part of the taxes collected on the bets would go to public safety. The Project is being processed by the Senate Constitution, Justice and Citizenship Commission.

The new poll is now available on the CJEC Portal: The World Bank suggested, in its report "A Fair Fit - Proposals to Increase Efficiency and Equity of Public Expenditure in Brazil", that the government should end free university education.
