The latest big news is the Latin American Poker Championship, a new series of partypoker tournaments. The premiere of the event will take place between February 24 and March 4 at the Enjoy Resort & Casino in the beautiful city of Punta del Este, Uruguay.
The full schedule of the tournaments will still be announced, but there will be several events and the traditional High Roller has a guaranteed presence in the grid. The Main Event will have a buy-in of US$ 1,100 with a guaranteed US$ 1 million in prize money.
Competitors who do not have a bankroll to buy-in for the main event will have the chance to secure a spot through the satellites phases, which will happen at partypoker from the first week of January. More details should be released in the coming weeks.
