Brazilian city of Araxá also seeks to host casinos in 2018

At the last Ordinary Meeting of the City Council of Araxá in 2017, Councilor Luiz Carlos highlighted the project being processed by the Federal Chamber, which legalizes gaming in Brazil. According to the Parliament, the PL defines that states with population between 15 and 25 million inhabitants may have only 2 casinos. He warned that seven cities, among them Araxá, had applied to receive casinos.

Araxá is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Minas Gerais, in the mesoregion of the Triângulo Mineiro and Alto Paranaíba.

Luiz Carlos took advantage of his participation in the meeting to make a final evaluation of his actions in the year 2017. He recalled his fight for Fábrica de Superimãs to be installed in Araxá, noting that he is still collecting signatures to give force to the movement.

It was also highlighted in the speech of the Councilor the fight for reopening of the Rural Police Station, the holding of Community Forums and the guarantee by the Executive of construction of the Municipal Hall and the roundabout in front of the Fire Department
