Located in one of the most important districts of the city of São Paulo, Itaim, in the western zone of the capital, Espaço Real da Sorte inaugurated with a great entertainment party that had among the attractions music, good food, chaity bingo and draws with the objective to raise values that will help in charitable institutions that have difficulties and promote their activities.
GMB spoke with Jorge Escobar, one of the local partners who explained how the partnership between the institutions and Espaço Real da Sorte works. "We create the space, and entities come and perform their activities within the venue. They go through a screening where we see if the social objectives of the entity are achievable, if they already have worked in similar initiatives, if they turn everything they collect for the activity and thus are enabled to use the space.”
Escobar also explains what accredits entities to offer any activity on the place, including charity bingos and draws. "By law 8304, entities have the possibility of raising funds to support themselves through draws. Entities use this law to carry out this activity. Our place, as an event house, rents its space to those who have the right to organize this kind of events."
"Tonight is very special. With the opening of this house you will help us serve more children who need our support. We will be able to attend the small ones that, due to family problems, are taken from their parents by the justice and without our work would end up in the streets. You're going to make sure that does not happen," he said to the audience present in the opening.
The inauguration of Espaço Real da Sorte was scheduled for 15 December. However, due to its big structure, there was delay in the works and the opening was postponed in one week. The house has attractions such as: Restaurant, Bar, Café, Wine Cellar, Tobacco Shop; Lounge, Café Concert and a Charity Chest where it will be collected everything that is no longer used to be used by charities.
With all this structure, the house has the capacity to receive about 700 people who will be attended by a team of about 160 people, and that in larger events can reach 300 properly trained and attentive staff.
The opening night of the house had a special reception hall where every person who arrived was welcomed with applause and by the staff, a cocktail with drinks and salads prepared by the renowned Chef of the restaurant, a show with live music, some free raffles, followed by others that had prizes such as a zero kilometer car and at the end of the night a grand prize of R$ 50 thousand (USD 15,000).
"This opening that we are making is a dream that we all have and that has been deprived for so long due to an injustice. Now let's dream together and we'll make it work. I like to do things with a lot of feeling, so what we do comes out well. We feel what we do and we transmit it in every action. And this is a success," ended Jorge Escobar.
