CAIXA Lotteries grow 8.34% raising more than US$ 3.7 billion this year

The CAIXA lotteries recorded a collection of R$ 12.05 billion (USD 3.84bn) from January to November this year in Brazil. The growth is 8.34% in relation to the same period of 2016. Of the total collected, R$ 4 billion (USD 1.23bn) were paid in prizes and R$ 5.76 billion (USD 1.77bn) were passed on to finance social actions, with beneficiaries being the security areas social, education, sport, public safety, culture and health.

Mega-Sena bets accounted for 38.55% of the collection of all products of the Lotteries, with more than R$ 4.64 billion (USD 1.42bn). Lotofácil was in second place, with 27.39% of the revenue, followed by Quina, with 19.5% of the total collected.

Tomorrow (Wednesday 6), the Mega-Sena can pay $ 6.7 million (USD 2.05mn) for the bettor who hit the six lucky numbers. The contest number 1994 will be held at 8 pm (Brasilia time), in Teixeira de Freitas city.
