Gaming law urgency request was not voted due to lack of quorum

The request for urgency for the consideration of bill 442/91, which analyzes the gaming legalization in Brazil, was not voted by the plenary of the Chamber of Deputies, because Tuesday’s ordinary session was canceled due to lack of quorum. The request has no date announced for a new vote.

The plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies that would vote the urgent request for consideration of bill 442/91 (Deputy Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ))-, was not held due to lack of quorum. Thus, the request was undefined for a new vote.

The work in the plenary Ulysses Guimarães began at 2:00 pm with explanations from different deputies. Around 4 pm, the president of the house announced that he would wait for the presence of the parliamentarians in the plenary to compose a quorum until 4:50 pm. But after the stipulated time the plenary remained empty and the session was closed at 4:58 pm.

At the end of the day, Deputy Rodrigo Maia read the bills that would be voted at the special session tomorrow, where the urgency of project 442/91 was not included and now awaits a new date to be voted.
