TOTAL WIN OF US$ 204,6 IN JANUARY

Atlantic City casinos report gains from 2016

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement released figures on Tuesday that show Atlantic City Casinos’ gambling revenue was up by 7.7% in January 2017, when compared to last year. The seven casinos generated a total gaming win of US$ 204.6 in January, numbers which are, in part, thanks to their online gambling platforms.

According to the figures, the casinos saw an increase across multiple verticals, the highest of which was the Internet Gaming Win, which generated US$ 18.8 million in January 2017, or 28.6% more than last year’s numbers of US$ 14.6 million.

The industry also saw an increase in Casino Wins, which this year amounted to US$ 185.9 million, or 5.9% more than the same month of last year when it reached US$ 175.5 million. The Total Gaming Win from current operators (Taj Mahal excluded) also jumped by 15.2% to US$ 204.7 million.

Revenue increases were seen in all seven casinos, with the smallest gains going to Bally’s Hotel and Casino, who had a total win increase of only 0.6% over January last year. The Golden Nugget took the first spot in the Internet Gaming Win vertical, generating US$ 4.77 million with its online platform, or 90.6% more than last year, closely followed by Caesars Interactive NJ, whose online win amounted to US$ 4.03 million.

Apart from the online sector, the casinos also saw gains in the table game sector, where the total table game win was up by 18.3% to US$ 62.2 million. Slots, on the other hand, only had a 0.6% increase over last year, but still generated far more than table games, or $123.6 million.
