GS Bingo is a Brazilian company that is specialized in the development, supply
and installation of equipment, systems for bingo halls and components for
electronic games. In its history, the company has a portfolio of more than 300
rooms assembled in Brazil and Latin America always striving for beauty, quality
and safety in its products.
GMB spoke with Gilberto Oliveira, partner at GS Bingo, about the expectation
for the approval of the law that would regulate the bingos again in the country
and the company's plans for this new moment that is approaching:
GMB - What is
your expectation on the approval of the gaming law in Brazil?
Gilberto Oliveira - The prospects for this activity
in Brazil are huge and extremely positive. We live a moment in the country that
indicates more seriousness in the conduct of public and private institutions
and also in the way of thinking about how we want this country in the future.
We need to take this wave and solve once and for all the situation of an
activity that did not have the attention it deserved and was simply forgotten. Talking
from the perspective of suppliers of goods and services that will be necessary
for the operation, the movement in the economy will be huge, as it will reach
many different areas such as electronics, software, furniture and metallurgical
industries, food, security, computer, etc.
What is your company preparing for this new market moment after
legalization?
We are working on the
improvement and development of new systems and products for Traditional Bingo
focused on the needs of the entrepreneur who will invest and in the culture and
customs already rooted in the Brazilian market. We will certainly be prepared
to receive this market with new technology. New products and ideas will be
presented.
With the possible return of bingos and
casinos, what is the main objective of the company?
Our goal is to win a significant share of this market. That’s why we are
working on the identification and search of partners who intend to operate in
Brazil. As we have total control over our systems we can customize and adapt to
the needs of each client. The provision of the services we propose and the way
we want to act in the market will provide important partnerships to achieve our
goals.
Of the two projects under discussion in
the congress, one in the Chamber and another in the Senate, which one gives
more security to Brazilian businessmen?
We need to resolve this situation as soon as possible, more than in a way
that gives the Brazilian businessman the opportunity to act in the market. The
two projects need adjustment, but I understand that the House of
Representatives project gives the most chance to internal investments. It would
not make sense that, after all these years of waiting, our entrepreneurs do not
have the opportunity to compete.
How do you see the possibility of
international investors coming to Brazil with the gaming legalization? Do they
represent greater competition or the opportunity for new partnerships?
International investments will be important, not only for the financial
factor but also for the new technologies and experiences of markets already
consolidated in the world. We must be open and seize the opportunities.
