CAIXA’s official lectured about WLA certificatoin in seminar

The National Superintendent of Lotteries at Brazilian CAIXA participated in CIBELAE's 'Safety and Integrity in Betting' seminar, before more than one hundred attendees. During his presentation, he demonstrated through examples the experience of CAIXA with the processes of ISO 27001 and WLA-SCS certification that guarantees compliance in the operation of the Federal Lotteries.

The Brazilian government-owned bank was represented by Gilson Braga during the session that discussed new forms of SRMC / WLA stantard. He demonstrated through examples CAIXA’s experience with certification processes.

Gilson Braga is the National Superintendent of Lotteries of CAIXA, responsible for all the lottery process of the institution, from new lottery to the negotiations with retailers.

The "Safety and Integrity in Gambling" session is organized by CIBELAE in conjunction with the World Lottery Association (WLA) and the State Lottery Association of Argentina (ALEA), with prominent speakers from operators and regulators, as well as companies that are partof the three entities.

In December 2015, CAIXA’s lotteries received the recertification by the WLA-SCS: 2012 standard, valid for a further three years. The WLA norm certifies that this body recognizes the adoption, through the CAIXA Lotteries, of the best governance practices and management of information security, risk and business continuity, in the operation of the Federal Lotteries.

By certifying and implementing the controls of these international standards (ISO 27001 and WLA-SCS), CAIXA guarantees the compliance of its processes with legal requirements, the credibility of its image as a gaming operator and, consequently, the trust of bettors and other interested parties.

The WLA-SCS - Security Control Standard combines a comprehensive information security management base (including ISO 27001) with additional, lottery-specific security controls that represent current best practices.
