McGregor, 54, is a British citizen and currently resides in the UK. She is the Executive Dean of the Edinburgh Business School, the graduate school of business of Heriot-Watt University in the U.K. McGregor is also the principal shareholder and non-executive chairman of the executive search firm Taylor Bennett.
In addition, McGregor is a director of Non-Standard Finance PLC, a company specializing in offering consumer loans in the UK. McGregor has a Ph.D. from the University of Hong Kong in Structured Finance and is an experienced writer and broadcaster, including writing for the Financial Times for 17 years.
In her early career, McGregor worked in financial public
relations and investor relations before completing an MBA at the London
Business School and joining ABN Amro as a sell-side analyst, where she spent
eight years working in London, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Tokyo.
