Women win leading role in Brazilian poker management

Poker is considered mostly a men's activity. But few know that some of the the top positions in leading Brazilian poker companies are occupied by women, who brings to the market a much more working-in-progress rather than a big-hit view that contributes to the long-term strengthening of their positions. This is what explains journalist Josiane Zani in a SuperPoker article.

Zani made a balance on the role of women in the management of poker in Brazil. She, who is responsible for the management of SuperPoker, listed women holding senior positions in Brazilian companies and said that they contributed to making the market more work in progress.

"I came up with some interesting conclusions about the management style of a market that until recently was quite informal. Women who got involved with the poker business brought a lot more vision of working in progress than big hit, and that contributes to the long-term strengthening of their positions of command, because accumulated knowledge brings security and respect. "

She also states that the poker market was often seen as friendship rather than business relationships and that the main characteristic of these managers to change that image was patience, and that is only the beginning of female participation in the market.

"It is valuable to realize that we, women who work in these operations, have been able to take advantage of the time it took for our feminine characteristics to show their value. I am sure that women will occupy more places at poker tables and in business as we have come to assume the uur public space in the most diverse activities, is just a matter of sampling and interest. "

In addition to Josiane Zani, manager of SuperPoker, other women hold important positions in poker: Lara Bruno Machado de Campos, in the operation of the Brazilian Series of Poker; PokerStars had as country manager in Brazil, Débora Barros; 888Poker's Khatlen Guse; Luana Bran in H2Club marketing; Roberta Cantelli who is negotiating partnerships between all companies; and Mirelle Moschella, a reporter who works on coverage of major poker events.
