ABIH: "We defend casinos regulation in Brazil"

The president of the Brazilian Association of Hotel Industry (ABIH), Dilson Jatahy Fonseca Junior, said he considers important to legalize casinos in the country as a way to expand services. But according to him, it is necessary to make investments and prepare the hotel sector to receive the demand, mainly in the hotels of Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and other states.

"We are defending the regularization of casinos in Brazil, but the sector needs to make investments and also needs incentives from the federal government," said Jatahy Fonseca Junior during the FIT Pantanal-2017 in Mato Grosso.

The main entities that are part of the tourist trade of Mato Grosso signed during the FIT Pantanal-2017 the Tourism Manifesto, pointing out actions and direction of public and private investments to guarantee more tourist flow to the state.

The document was written by the Brazilian Association of Travel Agencies (ABAV-MT), Brazilian Association of Hotel Industry (ABIH-MT), Brazilian Association of Bars and Restaurants (ABRASEL-MT), Pantanal Defense Association (ADEPAN), Ecotourism Association of the Pantanal Norte (ECOPAN), Pantanal Research Center (CPP), together with SINDETUR and the Patronal Union of Bars, Restaurants and Lodging.

The representatives of the entities met during the Pantanal FIT to consolidate the actions to increase the competitiveness of tourism in the international market.
