Opponent Deputy recognizes that Brazilian gaming law is close to approval

The deputy of PV-SP, Carlos Mendes Thame, was always critical and fervent fighter against the legalization of gaming in Brazil. Nevertheless, in an interview granted to the Camara TV channel he admits: 'There was never such a great climate to approve these projects'.

Casinos, bingos and popular brazilian "jogo do bicho” can be legalized. A special committee of the House approved the proposal, which is ready for vote by the Plenary. The expectation is that the collection of taxes on bets will reach closet o US$ 6.4 billion. This was the topic of the interview with the deputy Antonio Carlos Mendes Thame, of the PV of São Paulo, in the program PALABRA AVERTA of the Camara TV channel .

During the interview, Mendes Thame reiterated his harsh criticism on gaming, but revealed that the Chamber is closer than ever to approving the law when it is put to the vote in plenary. "The truth is that it has never been such a great climate to approve these projects. Opponents have never had such difficulty," admitted the deputy.
