Athough legalization of the sector is not yet a reality because it depends on
the definitions of deputies and senators, both international and local
businessmen are moving to be prepared for the moment that happens. This
is the case of the Brazilian company Euro-Rio Hotels & Suites, which has
the Eurobuilding Hotels & Suites Brasil brand, ready to operate in any
region of Brazil.
Business models include express hotel projects with just bingo or, more
ambitious, with casinos and bingos incorporated, pool & sauna, and
restaurant & grill, among other amenities. The construction and location of
any of the projects will depend on the text of the law to be approved, and the
complexes must be modified in order to be in line with the regulation that is
not yet defined.
Alberto Angrisano, architect and CEO of the company he founded in 2011, is more
confident than ever that casinos will be approved this year and encourages the
arrival of foreign investors to operate the hotel and gambling sectors of his
projects.
"We are in contact with groups from Europe and Asia that are just waiting
the opening of the market to reach the country, invest in these projects and
give thousands of jobs," said Angrisano, who was invited to moderate a
working table at the Brazilian Gaming Congress 2017 to be held in Sao Paulo.
