Caixa Economica Federal (Caixa) expects to complete the sale of Lotex, its instant lottery arm, by the end of 2017, owned-state bank president Gilberto Occhi told Reuters.
"The deal is moving forward, I think we're going to get the sale by December," Occhi told Reuters in an interview.
Known as "scratch card," the lottery allows
punters to know the result right after the ticket is purchased.
The BNDES, contracted by Caixa to coordinate the privatization of Lotex,
published in November the announcement to contract services to carry out the
operation.
The Federal Government's Investment Partnerships Program (PPI) predicts that the sale of Lotex's control will yield about US$ 675 to the public coffers.
