"We strongly bet on the process of legalization in Brazil"

(Exclusive GMB) - Following the success of the young company in the recent FADJA 2017 event, Mariano Sosa, founder and CEO of Gaming Consulting Group, explains how they are preparing to enter the Brazilian market. 'Being able to be a consultant without brand flag allows us to work with all the variables available in the industry,' he adds.

GMB - What services did you present in the recent FADJA edition?
Mariano Sosa - We are professional service providers (Consultants) for the industry and we went to promote our branch of professional services for casinos related with advice and consulting on systems CMS, iGaming, strategy and regulatory support.

What balance can you make about your company's participation at the show?
We thought that the fair resumed strength this year and was fine, although the facilities of the new chosen venue were not the best. Besides that, the expected objectives were met.

What presence does the company have in the Latin American market?

The firm was created this year and is made up of professionals recognized in the market and with vast experience (+30 years) acquired in different firms (IGT, Bally, MGM, Hilton, Win Systems, etc.). We think that the industry is starting a new stage of maturity where it requires knowledge and experience to improve existing operations from the organizational point of view, products and care of the player being able to offer experiences of attractive players to its clients. We believe it is necessary and important to take a mature leap in the market and this is why we are giving academic talks throughout the region, reaching different countries. We’ve already gone to Paraguay, Peru and Colombia but we have also scheduled for this year Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America.

How do you see the process gaming regulation in Brazil? Do you consider it as an attractive market for your company in the future?
Our company strongly "bets"on the regulatory process in Brazil, which will bring exponential growth of Latin American industry. For us, this is going to mean that a new market will require advice and guide, which is not recommended depending on a brand but an independent company like us that can give an opinion and recommend openly on all suppliers in the sector, in order to have the best possible mix depending on budget and strategy defined by the operator.

Do you have future plans for the Brazilian market once regulated? If you arrive to Brazil, what factors are you most concerned about (infrastructure, technology, economic moment, bureaucracy)?

We are waiting for the opening of Brazil in order to start offering our services. Given the type of product we offer (professional services), we do not have the problems that may come to worry other companies. However, it is important for customers to know that they have other options they can consult to start their business in a more secure way and with the necessary knowledge.

Do you plan opening own local offices and hiring employees?
We are not thinking about arriving with own offices, perhaps with local representations only. However, the distance allows us to have permanent presence.

Which of your services do you think would be most successful in the Brazilian market?
I guess that the advice from the point of how to open an operation, product recommendation,

Necessary systems, iGaming, floor optimization, player recruitment, strategy of competition, etc. are the products that we believe may be the most required in a context of opening of new regulation. We understand that there will be a lot of competition from the point of view of suppliers of products (machines, systems, infrastructure, etc.) but few companies can work on combining the best mix to have a sustainable operation adjusted to a defined budget. Being able to be a consulting company without brand flag allows us to work with all the variables available of the industry to achieve the best mix.
