"The success of the Lotteries increases contribution with social areas in Brazil"

The CAIXA Lotteries registered in the first six months of 2017 collection of US$ 1.92 billion. This amount represents an increase of 5.49% in relation to the first half of 2016, which was US$ 1.82 billion. The number means real increase (already discounted the inflation of the period) of 1.66% compared to 2016.

Mega-Sena accounted for 36.24% of the collection of all CAIXA Lottery products, with more than US$ 698 million. The second place among the modalities that more collected in the period was Lotofácil, with 26.33% of the collection, followed by Quina, with 21.25% of the total collected.

In the same period, the nine products of the CAIXA Lotteries transferred US$ 942 million to the social areas defined in Law, such as social security, education, sports, public safety, culture and health, already included US$ 187 million as a tax of income over prizes. The semester offered in prizes over US$ 617 million in all modalities.

For the vice president of Government Funds and Lotteries of CAIXA, Deusdina dos Reis Pereira, the results are another indication of the upward trajectory of the Lotteries. "All the time CAIXA promotes the Lottery market and the bettor responds very well to this work. It's a virtuous circle: with the success of the Federal Lotteries, we have more winners of millionaire prizes and greater is the contribution with the various beneficiary social areas," said Deusdina.
