FEBRALOT refuses proposals for commissions and online games remuneration

The FEDERATION defends apportionment proportionate to the collection in the physical environment (retailers) and the manager, alleging legal problems, defends that the distribution is by indication of the bettor. The proposed modification of Febralot was not accepted, and the client's indication remained. During the meeting the union presidents were summoned to discuss the proposals and to decide on the decisions to be taken.

Febralot's meeting with SUALO to deal with online games was attended by Vice President Deusdina dos Reis as well as other lottery executives and several trade union presidents.

After the meeting with SUALO, the Federation's board of directors met and a debate was held among the trade union presidents present for discussion on online gaming and everyone's ideas were analyzed. Jodismar Amaro closed the debate and found that all states were against the proposal of the manager. Thus, the Federation concluded, that:

1) The 8.61% commission must be respected in its entirety, since the manager will not have costs to maintain the new system, saving on logistics and inputs. In this way, the proposed value of 3.11% is not sustained, because all profits earned are to Caixa and all expenses are deducted solely from the lottery retailer;

2) The minimum value of games for payment by credit card, fixed at R$ 20.00, will cause evasion of customers from physical stores because it is very low. It is understood that the appropriate minimum value would be in the order of R $ 100.00;

3) The system of apportioning of commissions, according to the Caixa, which is fixed through geographical location or indication by the lottery code, is not safe, and can privilege only a minority that already operates today on the internet with great prominence. The Federation understands that the apportionment must be proportional to the physical games, which would encourage the entrepreneur (retailers) to improve his performance in the store.

At the end of the meeting, FEBRALOT and union presidents came to the decision that all states are against the project and there will be no response to CAIXA prior to a national survey of the network that will be held in the next few days.

Febralot must formalize this opinion for Caixa, and will develop a consultation to the Network through a national survey divided by States, which is already being prepared in Sao Paulo. Jodismar said that the Federation will not give any endorsement to Caixa's proposals, unless it is forced by a majority vote of the presidents representing its states.
