GMB – Let’s begin with current BMM's
work and its role in the global gaming market...
Marzia Turrini: BMM is a company that deals with the certification of
everything related to the gaming industry at a global level. We are present in
more than 470 jurisdictions and we have different offices around the world.
How does the company evaluate Brazil's
position in the global gaming market, even without having an industry
regulation ready?
Of course, Brazil is a very important market for us and we hope that
legalization will be ready because it is understood that Brazil will be one of
the most important international markets, and BMM is committed to entering this
market.
Which
sectors of the future Brazilian gaming market attracts the attention of BMM?
Bingo, casinos, online games ... which one?
All, because BMM deals with any segment of the
gaming industry. We certify the online, face-to-face, sports betting and also
do all the consulting part so that companies can place their products in a way
closer to the current legislation.
What is the company's position regarding
gaming legalization in Brazil? Is advancing at the right pace?
Of course, the legislation is part of a much broader political framework
than making the legislation of the activity. However, we are sure that once we
have solved some of the broader themes, it will also be possible to clarify the
gaming topic.
Do you believe that Brazil will be able
to make a law that covers every gaming market at once? Would it be beneficial
to the country?
It is opportune to try to regularize in different steps, not all at once,
in order not to carry too much all the organisms that will deal with the
initiative.
