has done in relation to responsible gambling and also talking about possible
problems related by gaming disorders.
The main lecture was conducted by Professor
Dr. Hermano Tavares, from the Institute of Psychiatry of USP, partner of the
Caixa in the programs of combat and protection to gaming disorders.
In the event participated members of the SEAE / MF, lottery controller in
Brazil, represented by undersecretary Alexandre Angelo; COB, Ministry of Sport,
Health, Education, Culture and the Lottery representing the sales network.
The lottery team at Caixa was also represented
with the presence of Deusdina Pereira, Vice President of Government Funds and
Lotteries; Gilson Braga, national superintendent of Lotteries and Carlos Leite,
National Manager of Lottery Product Support.
The first edition of the event marks the implementation of the Responsible
Gaming Week in Brazil. Caixa's intention is to expand the event in the coming
years, improving the insertion on the subject and increasing the participation
of other segments of society.
RESPONSIBLE GAMING
CAIXA has established its Responsible Gambling
Program and follows the best international practices on the subject, beeing
members and following the guidelines of the World Lottery Association (WLA),
which brings together State Lotteries in 76 countries on 5 continents.
WLA proposes management structures and disseminates best practices to guide
organizations in different areas of knowledge (risk and safety management,
marketing and corporate social responsibility) and also certifies and
recognizes organizations that follow their structured guidelines for
Responsible Gambling . The higher the level, the greater the degree of
excellence of the organization.
In 2017, Caixa Lotteries have achieved Level 3 of Responsible Gaming Certification, evidencing that they are in line with the best governance practices adopted by the best managed state lotteries in the world, aimed at protecting and reducing potential damages associated with the lottery game market .
