The president of the IJL, Jose Magnho, defended the legalization of gaming and
handed over to President Rodrigo Maia a study of the entity with information

country, the potential of collection in taxes and grants with the regulation of
this sector , the result of the national consultation of the Paraná Research
Institute commissioned by the Esplanada Column and the analysis of the
percentages indicated by the survey. The report, conducted between August 15
and 19, recorded that the majority of the population supports the legalization
of bingos and casinos.
At the request of Representative Nelson Marquezelli, President Rodrigo Maia
informed that he will bring the topic to the meeting of the College of Leaders,
with including the possibility of including in the Plenary agenda the
substitute of Guilherme Mussi (PP-SS) to PL 442/91 approved by the Special
Committee.
The Brazilian Legal Gaming Institute (IJL) aims to produce and stimulate studies and research on gaming, lotteries, prognostications, draws and entertainment competitions, as well as promoting legalization and creating a regulatory framework for these activities in collaboration with public competent authorities.
