"The biggest challenge for Colombia's online operator is to understand new customers"

The international gaming industry is paying close attention to the regulatory phenomenon in Latin America in general, and in particular in Colombia, a pioneer in South America, regulating online gaming operations and reinforcing the fight against illegality. Miguel Ángel Lázaro, Managing Director of R. Franco Digital, analyzes the online gaming market in this country that is opening up to international operators, who need to adapt to the tastes and customs of new customers.

Although this is a fact that has been waiting for some time, it has happened at a time when most operators do not have the capacity to operate this license and make the most of it. Offering a service that allows managing players, games, data and its report to the Administration and that is interesting enough for users is a challenge that, in other countries such as Spain, has required years of research and development.

The time has come to think of strategies that allow local operators to diversify services, and it is at this point that the relevant international companies come into play, capable of offering the infrastructure in a short time to achieve the objectives with maximum guarantees.

On the other hand, the international market is very heterogeneous and the publics of each market are also increasingly, within the infinite variety of options offered by digital entertainment. A 'one-size-fits-all' approach is not enough in such a competitive environment with such demanding players, it will take a "tailored suit" approach. Operators must learn from their customers and adapt their products accordingly. This will not only increase your loyalty level, but also allow operators and suppliers to learn and develop new products that have the potential to be used elsewhere.

From the beginning and with a vocation of international projection, in R. Franco Digital we have developed services so that they could be used in any geographical and legislative context, so that they could also be customized based on the needs of each operator. The result of our efforts to offer the best global solution is our IRIS platform: completely open architecture, it has all the customization options, configuration of games of different operators, allows the management of players and includes administration of payment gateways, among many other features.

It is the ideal solution for those companies that wish to enter the online market, or for those who wish to integrate it with other service providers or management tools developed by third parties. As a complement we have IRIS Power Vault: application that sends the regulatory agent the information required by legislation such as transactions, player data, GGR or data on responsible gaming, with the option to do it in real time or deferred.

We also have two other services that complete the offer; our division R. Franco Games collects the online adaptation of successful games of the Group, as well as the development of new creations. It is an extensive catalog of roller games, machine B (AWP), video poker, video bingo, roulette, casino and mini games; Finally, we offer our customers OnMix RF, a multigame touchscreen terminal capable of integrating games from different providers, connect with different peripherals and establish networks with other gaming terminals.

Currently our platform and our games are certified, tested and working successfully in the Colombian market; Last year we closed an agreement in Colombia with Corredor Empresarial (the largest commercial gaming network in Colombia) to provide with its IRIS platform and its online games catalog.

What will differentiate the leaders from the rest will be having the right partners to provide the technology, content and experience necessary to take full advantage of the opportunity offered by the Colombian market. Aware of this, we went to GOL EXPO COLOMBIA this year to offer our range of global solutions to Colombian operators who want to change suppliers or make the leap to the digital world.
