The "First Time" tournament was designed for those who are beginning to know and learn more about poker, and think that participating in international competitions seems impossible to achieve, except for professionals. To register and participate, players can not have played any BSOP tournament in the last five years and must pay the buy-in of R$ 460 (US$ 125), the equivalent of 20 thousand chips to play.
In addition to competing exclusively against players who are also unaccustomed to the big tournaments, participants will play for a guaranteed prize of R$ 50 thousand (US$ 13,300) and an official BSOP Millions trophy.
For the general director of the tournament, Devanir Campos, the idea came after conversations with regulars of the Brazilian Poker Championship and to observe that other tournaments had never made such an initiative. "What I love the most in poker is that it is played in open events and the tables are inclusive, regardless of their level. You can fall at the same table with a world champion or a celebrity. It's as if you like to play basketball or tennis, and you could play an official game with Neymar and Rafael Nadal."
During this month, PokerStars and BSOP will make promotions to distribute registration for the “First Time” tournament. Through the social networks of the site and the event more information and promotions will be announced.
