LIDE RIO, an entity that brings together entrepreneurs from Rio de Janeiro, awards businessmen, companies or initiatives every year in several categories, highlighting actions in the environment, tourism innovation culture and others sectors.
Winner in the Social Responsibility category, Loterj was represented by its president Sergio Ricardo de Almeida, who explained the social role of the state lottery. "The social function of the state lottery is to have the lottery games and with its profit invest in the social," said the president of Loterj.
"We are very proud and with the feeling of accomplishment, thank you to all who helped us in this process," said Sergio Ricardo after receiving the award on stage.
The Copacabana Palace hotel, in Rio's southern area, was chosen as the venue for the 2016 Líderes do Rio award, with the presentation of RecordTV journalists Rio Lívia Mendonça and Rael Policarpo.
Professionals and entrepreneurs have gathered to recognize who contributes to the development of the city. In addition to Loterj, the AquaRio for the promotion of tourism and marine research; and the Botanical Garden, for research and development work, were also honored.
The award was created by the LIDE Group, which brings together business leaders in several countries. The purpose of the award is to create awareness of the importance of the role of entrepreneurship in building a developed and ethical society.
