In the same way, the study - carried out by Maca Consultores for Fecoljuegos - concluded that 66% of the opinion leaders see the gaming industry as an innovative sector, 62% as an activity that began to put their needs in the national agenda and progress in the consolidation of strategic alliances, and 68% agree that a comprehensive public policy for the sector is urgently needed.
According to Evert Montero, president of Fecoljuegos, the study showed that the confidence index in the sector of games of chance by opinion leaders is 60.2%, considering their general perception, representativeness, integrity and communication of the industry. "It is a great advance that 67% of opinion leaders recognize the contribution that our industry makes to the socioeconomic development of the country," he said.
When consulting opinion leaders about how much they perceive companies in the sector as sustainable companies and that in turn promote the culture of responsible gaming, 40% consider that the industry fulfills satisfaction with this purpose; another 40% says that some actions are needed to achieve this objective and a remaining 20% considers that the industry needs to concentrate efforts in favor of these two issues.
"It is very important that this sector be recognized as an entertainment activity, controlled and in which through responsible gaming helps to finance the health of Colombians," stressed Montero.
