Luckia becomes the eighth authorized online gaming operator in Colombia

Luckia Colombia this week obtained a concession contract with Coljuegos to operate games and bets on the internet. It is the first authorized operator of 2018 that joins the seven that already operate since 2017. The company will use the platform luckia.co. Coljuegos explained that it is a five-year agreement, whose estimated value is US $ 3.89 million.

Juan B. Pérez Hidalgo, president of Coljuegos, stressed that "Colombia is the first country in Latin America to regulate online gaming. There are already eight websites that offer online bets in a legal way: wplay.co, betplay.com.co, colbet.co, zamba.co, codere.com.co, mijugada.co, masgol.co and now adds luckia.co ".

He added that at the end of 2017, Coljuegos had 212,866 players registered in the different authorized online operators, of which 95% of them are active.

Online gaming activity left Coljuegos revenues of US $ 1.86 million in 2017, corresponding to the exploitation rights of this industry.

On the other hand, Coljuegos has blocked 325 websites that operated online gambling illegally, so the president of the entity said that they want "more interested companies to obtain permission from Coljuegos to be operators of online games , in order to achieve a strong sector tuned with the new technologies ".

According to Fecoljuegos, the Colombian Federation of Entrepreneurs of Games of Luck and Chance, Luckia is a business group that "has been in the market for more than 40 years, has a team of 2,500 people and currently has different operations in Spain, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Portugal, Croatia and Malta ".
