Mansueto spoke to a well crowded auditorium, made up of international businessmen and industry professionals interested in learning more about the lottery situation, in particular the LOTEX concession in Brazil.
During his speech, Mansueto de Almeida explained to entrepreneurs and industry professionals that the process of granting the Exclusive Instant Lottery (LOTEX) is within the planned stages and that the auction is still expected to happen in the first half of 2018 with the presentation of proposals closed, by companies experienced in the operation of instant lottery in the main global markets.
He also underscored the recent hiring of B3 (formerly BM & FBOVESPA) to be responsible for conducting the auction and said that the current stage of the process is the audit carried out by the Federal Audit Court (TCU).
The secretary emphasized that this inspection has occurred with an intense exchange of information between the court and the Ministry of Finance and the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) and after the manifestation of the TCU and the analysis of the bidding document and the draft contract by the Attorney General of the National Treasury (PGFN), there will be publication of the bidding document and the concession agreement and, after 60 days, the auction.
In the room was also a small entourage of members of his team who accompanied him to the event formed by Alexandre Manoel, undersecretary of fiscal governance and lottery regulation; and coach Waldir Eustáquio Marques Júnior, Coordinator-General of Governance of Prizes and Draws.
