Now it is up to the Brazilian Congress to define the technical scope and budget available for the work. Congressman Cesar Halum, President of the Parliamentary Front for the Adoption of the Regulatory Framework of Gaming in Brazil, which gathers 262 deputies -more than necessary to vote and approve the Project-, is taking care of the matter personally and hopes to qualify the discussion to demystify all the fallacies that have been used by sectors opposed to the matter and that until now have not presented even a consistent argument about the activity of gaming.
In response to a letter from Congressman Cesar Halum, the executive director of the International Center for Gaming Regulation Andre Wilsenach made the institute available to the Brazilian parliamentarian, Congress and the Brazilian Gaming Institute, offering "significant experience on the socioeconomic impact of gaming in Brazil in order to maximize the economic benefits of the activity and at the same time alleviate the risks associated with it."
According to him, "the great advantage for Brazil, at the current stage of studies on regulation of the activity, is that it can benefit from the experiences of other gaming jurisdictions around the world."
