The now former president of Caixa, Gilberto Occhi, leaves the bank's command to become Minister of Health, thus opening a vacancy for Piaui’s senator.
Nelson Souza will asume his new position today (Monday 2nd) at 10:30 am in the Planalto Palace. He was currently the vice president of Caixa’s housing.
The indication of the Piauiense can help the Governor of Piauí, Wellington Dias (PT), who has already requested Caixa twice, receive a loan for his government. A portion has already been released, but the money that was supposed to be in an exclusive account ended up being mistakenly transferred to a single state account.
The act was 'condemned' by the TCE and MPF, which ordered the suspension of the release of the second installment of the loan, until there was an accounting of the money received in the firs installment.
