Hotel complex with largest casino in the Caribbean to be completed in June

The Bahamas, which has Brazil as the largest visitor issuer in South America, will have another hotel that will be part of the Baha Mar complex, which already has the largest casino in the Caribbean and will reach 2,200 rooms. The cluster includes the Grand Hyatt (opened a year ago with 1,800 rooms), SLS (opened in December with 300 rooms) and the newest Rosewood hotel, which will complement the offer of the place with another 200 beds in June this year.

The Baha Mar space also includes the largest Convention Center and the largest casino in the Caribbean, stretching across an area that connects the three hotels attracting players from major emitting markets that are the United States, Canada and Europe.

"Bahamas is made up of a group of about 700 islands and each of these brings a different look to all types of travelers from different cultures, providing a different experience in each of them," commented Bahamas General Manager of Tourism, Giovanni Grant.

Brazil is the largest issuer of visitors from South America to the Bahamas, but despite the superiority of the absolute number of travelers, the country does not even reach the mark of 0.5% in the flow of 2 million annual tourists received in the Caribbean destination.

According to Giovanni Grant, the Brazilian market will always be an important niche to be explored. "The Bahamas is a relatively new destination for Brazilians. Despite the low number of visitors, Brazil is our largest issuer in South America. We must do more roadshows this year through the main cities of the country and train the market about the destination," said the executive.
