In a special report produced by H2 Gambling Capital for iGaming Business, the Manchester-based firm has projected US-regulated gross win to reach US$4.88 billion by 2023 based on 19 states regulating the activity, moving it ahead of the projected US$4.67 billion figure for the UK.
iGaming Business’ principal data partner has forecast the market to be worth US$7.5 billion by 2030, assuming 25 states with regulation on the books.
Unsurprisingly, California is modelled to generate 30% of the gross win from a 20-state regulated market by 2024, reflecting the potentially lucrative tax collection opportunity for the US’ most populous state.
