While in Brazil steps are slow to make the decision to legalize or not Games of Chance, in Argentina the SAGSE 2018 trade show is the materialization of the success of this market. At ICE 2018, the world's largest fair for the gaming market, there was a representation of more than 100 countries and authorities linked to the economic, fiscal, health and cultural sectors, entertainment industry that enhances the real estate, furniture, gastronomic, service provider, technological, artistic and others.
In Brazil the expectation of legalization of Casinos and Bingo Halls refers us to the Federal Parliament (House of Representatives and Senate), while the State Lotteries, depend on the Judicial Branch (Supreme Court).
After years of discussion, I believe that the parliament has already overcome, by its great majority, the concept of gambling, considering it an economic activity that generates revenues and jobs; (PLS 186/2014 or PL 442/91), and overcoming conservative groups opposed to legalization (which is different from those opposed to games of chance - these groups do not condemn games of chance, they condemn only the legalization of gaming, tolerating them in clandestinity).
In the Supreme Court, it is approaching the date of the judgment of the actions that can assure autonomy and independence to the states regarding the exploitation of the modalities legalized by federal law.
Anyway, we have never been so close to an outcome before, although we are not sure how big the step.
I continue to maintain that the Brazilian business sector still has no unity, leading to the Deputies and Senators various proposals on the same matter, a fact that undermines the decision-making and the engagement of the parliamentarians favorable to legalization and potentiates the opposites; in addition, we are getting closer (Brazil) to the choice of a new President of the Republic, who will decide the future of this gaming market, whether by sanctioning, vetoing or regulating eventual law approved in 2018.
Considering that in order to exploit the legal games in Brazil, whether in 6 months or 2 years, there will be requirements and rigor in the conditions of the company and the businessman who presents himself to obtain a license, it is more risky to wait sitting than to move to enjoy the opening of the largest untapped legal gaming market in the world: Brazil.
Good luck
