Considering distribution as an important vector for the growth of the lottery market, the implementation of online lotteries by Caixa in August meant a big step towards the expansion of the Brazilian lottery market, especially for incorporating the virtual paradigm in strategy of lottery products.
It is worth mentioning that, as a regulator of the lotteries sector, aware of this importance of the virtual environment, the Ministry of Finance has been encouraging projects of this innovative nature for many years.
However, nowadays the introduction of a website to facilitate access to lottery bets, specifically through the internet channel, although it is essential and natural in world best practices, is the minimum level expected in the distribution of products lottery tickets.
In this sense, there is still a large space for Caixa to advance in the distribution vector of its lotteries, both in the physical environment and in this virtual one, specifically through channels such as mobile (with its own cell phone applications, making use of all the characteristics available on the smartphone), self-service (with betting on totems), on-demand (using specialized subscription services) and with virtual reality added.
In view of this, considering the potential for increased federal lottery sales, Caixa is expected to continue on this innovative path of digital transformation, contributing to the development of lottery products in Brazil, thus bringing greater resources to National Treasury to finance various federal programs financed with funds from these lotteries.
