With the minimum amount of R$ 542.1 million (US$ 132m), the granting of the service should initially be paid in a single installment. Now, the amount can be paid in up to four installments, according to resolution of the Program of Investment Partnerships (PPI) published in the Official Gazette (DOU) of this Wednesday, 26.
"The payment of the fixed concession charge may be made in up to four (4) installments, observing the following: the judgment criterion used in the bidding will be the largest offer on the initial installment due to the concession charge, to be paid as a condition for conclusion of the concession contract, the other installments will be fixed and will have to be paid annually, with monetary updating, after the conclusion of the concession contract," says the resolution, signed by the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic and by the Ministry of Finance.
The act also defines that the deadline for the delivery of the proposals will be 45 days - and not more than 60 days - from the publication of the concession announcement. The move aims to ensure a new auction of Lotex later this year. The intention of the federal government is to publish the edict with the adaptations in the coming days.
Lotex's first auction was scheduled for early July, but there was no proposal from interested parties. The term of the so-called "scratch card" will be 15 years.
