Carousel Group, a start-up operating in the online gambling sector, is close to finalising its launch of two new betting brands: SportsBetting.com and RaceBook.com. Users can bet on global sports via SportsBetting.com, while RaceBook.com is solely focused on racing fans.
To begin with, both brands will target players in Europe and Latin America, through Carousel's Malta Gaming Authority license. The operator is looking to acquire UK, Swedish and US licenses in the near future. Carousel obtained a sports betting and casino platform in 2018, which will power the two sites.
Graetzer’s long term plan includes obtaining licenses in other markets and expanding the brands’ reach to a global level, including the UK, US, Sweden and Brazil.
“We have this vision in our business of being global minded but very local in the sense of operations…we will expand by developing localized teams across Europe and Latin America because its really important to be close on the ground to customers”, explained Graetzer to Calvinayre.com
“We will have local teams, but we’ll be running it with a sense that our business is global, we’re targeting many regions, many countries, many currencies, many languages, it is a real challenge to balance both the global view and the local operations but that’s our strategy and we’ll see how things play out over this year”, he added.
SportsBetting.com is being positioned as the ultimate destination to bet on global sports while RaceBook.com is a dedicated platform for racing enthusiasts.
Powered by a proprietary sports-betting and casino platform acquired by Carousel Group in 2018, the two sites will be further strengthened by what the company described as ‘world-class content and a strong focus on user experience based on a customer-first, mobile-first approach’.
The company is recruiting affiliates from around the world to promote its brands through its recently launched Carousel Group Affiliates program, which will be on display at the London Affiliate Conference (LAC) next month.
Members of the team will be on hand to talk with delegates and affiliates about the brands and to give-away several all-inclusive weekends to their hometown Madrid to attend the famous El Clásico football match between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
“2018 was a huge year for us as we prepared the business for launch. We closed a second capital raise, acquired two strong domain names and ended the year with the acquisition of our technology platform, but now the real fun starts. We’ve assembled a team of highly experienced and competent leaders in our Madrid headquarters and combined with our recent acquisitions we are aiming to deliver a superior customer-driven experience to markets all over the world”, concluded Daniel Graetzer.
