“Our partners in Loteria Mineira participate in an interesting and attractive business”

Intralot has been operating and marketing since 2010 the ‘Loteria Mineira’ games throughout the state of Minas Gerais. In an interview with TV Poço, the company's marketing manager, Ana Martins, talks about the achievements, the developed products with which R$ 500 million (US$ 122m) has already been distributed in prizes and the opportunities for those who wish to become an Intralot reseller partner.

The interview begins with Ana Martins, Intralot's marketing manager in Brazil, giving a short presentation of how the company arrived in the state of Minas Gerais, through the Loteria Mineira and what it has already done since it began to operate.

“The Lottery Mineira is since 1939 bringing much joy to those who play with luck. In 2010 Intralot won the Lottery Mineira concession to market lottery games throughout the state. Intralot is a world leader in this field, so it has all the knowledge to sell and operate the games. Today we have a portfolio of six games: Keno Minas; Multplix; Mines 5; Totolot, Totogol and the Speedrace. And we are selling our games in various establishments ranging from bars, snack bars, grocery stores and even newsstands,”says the Intralot representative.

Asked about how the draws takes place, Ana explains that the company performs different types of sweepstakes according to the product, with games with more than one draw per day and others drawn once a week, all through a high-end technology system.

“The draws are conducted through our own high-tech system and are transmitted in real time to our points of sale through the televisions installed at each location,” says Ana Martins.

About the awards delivered to date, Martins reveals that the company has already distributed almost R$ 500 million (US$ 122m) to gamblers during the period that operates in Minas Gerais.

At another relevant point in the interview, Martins talks about Intralot's relationship with the retailers. She states that the company screens people seeking the company through its website to choose the best places to sell and that the average commission is R$ 2,000 (US$ 485), and can reach R$ 15,000 (US$ 3,640) in the busiest points.

“It's important to point out that our games are legalized and that the people who are chosen to act as agents pay nothing for it. We install all the equipment, provide all the training and advertising material for the games. So, one just needs to sell the games and still gets a commission. So it's very interesting and very attractive,” she concludes.

At the end of the interview, Ana Martins pointed out that in addition to the prizes and the possibility to generate gains, part of the amounts collected with the games of the Minas Gerais lottery return to society in the form of aid to social works conducted by the state government.
