The International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA), the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), the Sports Wagering Integrity Monitoring Association (SWIMA) and the Brazilian Association of State Lotteries (ABLE) were some of the companies and associations that supported the meeting in Las Vegas.
The activities were conducted by Professor Pedro Trengrouse, Vice-President of the Special Committee on Sports, Lottery and Entertainment of the Federal Council of the Brazilian Bar Association, who illustrated the potential of the Brazilian market with a map of the country showing 27 countries that have the size of Brazilian states.
Some of the leading international companies of the sector were present at the event and expressed their support for this initiative. Gene Chayevsky, Executive Vice President of BMM TestLabs, was one of the guest speakers along with Cristina Romero de Alba, partner of LOYRA Advogados and Advisors.
Johnny Ortiz, President of Zitro, Alex Pariente, SVP Casino Operations of Hard Rock International, and Sergio Alvarenga, President of Intralot Brazil, expressed their happiness to be able to participate in an initiative that seeks to help create a solid Brazilian market and they did not hesitate to help for what is coming, as well as companies such as Patagonia, represented by their main executives Peter Nolte and Victor Arias.
Marzia Turrini (Business Development SVP for Europe and South America at BMMTestlabs), Ewa Bakun (Director of Vision and Industry Engagement at Clarion Gaming) and Roberto Rabello (President of the Brazilian Association of State Lotteries -ABLE), among others, were also present at an event that was held at Las Vegas Sands Expo & Convention Center rooms 701 and 801 (Marco Polo).
George Rover, one of the industry's greatest icons in the United States, President of SWIMA, made a point of stressing the importance of this collective effort for good regulation of the gambling sector in Brazil, in particular for protecting the integrity of sport, drawing attention to sports betting.
Besides being a milestone for Brazil in the history of G2E, the main result of the meeting was the commitment of everyone to engage in a collective effort to build an institutional articulation structure for the gaming industry in the country, with the support of the main companies institutions of the international gaming community.
