The “DIA K” initiative was a great success, awarding 62,555 tickets between 7am and 11:59 pm. A total amount of R$ 698,013 (US$ 175,000) were distributed, or 83% of the value of the Loto Minas reserve fund. Thus, there are still R$ 142,173.08 (US$ 35,500) to be distributed, with news about this to be announced.

The Lottery Mineira is an example of a highly profitable, resource-generating and sympathetic public institution that is entirely independent of government funding. It is one of the few bodies that, besides being autonomous, is a fundraising center for important social works.

By allocating part of the profits from the games to the Government's social works, Loteria Mineira provided the opening of schools, kindergartens, hospitals, as well as sanitation and urbanization works. Since its creation, the Lottery Mineira has been an instrument for job creation, income and economic circulation for the State of Minas Gerais.

Intralot's subsidiary, Intralot Brasil, started operating with Loteria Mineira in 2010 with the launch of its first game, Keno Minas. Then the partnership originated new games: Multplix, Minas 5, Totolot, Totogol and Speed Race. All of them are available at over 2,500 lottery terminals located in various points of sale in the state of Minas Gerais.

Rewarding awards is one of the reasons why games are performing well. Of the total collected, at least 60% goes to awards.

Headquartered in Brazil since 2008, in March 2010 Intralot took another step on its global expansion path and consolidated its presence in Latin America by signing a contract with the Minas Gerais State Lottery, whose position stands out in the scenario of Brazil's games, with nearly 100 years of tradition in social investment through programs to encourage sports, education, health and development throughout the state.
