Following, this is the official Hebara’ statement disclosed to the media:
Hebara informs that it has decided not to participate in the bidding process for the purpose of hiring a company to create products, design advertising campaigns, distribute and stock lottery products proposed by Loterj.
After more than 25 years of continuous service to the municipality, creating and operating products that generated revenues of over R$ 2.5 billion and gave Loterj the investment of hundreds of millions of reais in various social projects, Hebara understood that the changes in the Notice proposed by Loterj's new management go against the world trends of the segment, promoting an inadmissible restriction on the introduction of technological advances in lottery products.
It is not possible to believe that in the 2020-2025 period Loterj wants products operated under the future contract not to be modernized, especially to face the new competitive scenario ahead with the arrival of the largest international lottery operators to Brazil.
The warnings we made to Loterj through administrative challenges were not enough to rectify the mistakes made in the Notice modifications. Therefore, due to this decision of the new Loterj’s management, Hebara had no choice but to stop attending the event.
