The World Championship of Poker in the largest city of Brazil will reveal details soon, but one thing is certain, buy-ins for all levels should attract professional and recreational players in addition to the guaranteed millionaires.
The last season was held at Belmond Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro. After marking poker's return to the ‘beautiful city’ and making history by crowding the halls of the luxury hotel, the poker world cup returns to the heart of the country in Sao Paulo from October 21-28, 2020 at the Unique Hotel in Jardins.
According to the festival organization, the goal is always to offer the best to the player. Innovating on the venue and providing different experiences are among the priorities.
World Series of Poker
In the 1970s, poker took shape with the creation of the largest championship in the world, the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Gaining notoriety since then, in 1971 disputes began to have cash prizes. The main event started with Texas Hold'em and in 1973 Five-card-stud was added. From then on, more and more modalities were added in the championship conquering more players and enthusiasts.
