“Vivagol's ad boards were to congratulate Flamengo and celebrate the end of Brasilerao”

Last September 30, Bet Entertainment Technologies made its move with the launch of Vivagol.com in Brazil, a sports betting site specially designed for the local market. Just months later, the brand has already shown itself on the pitch advertising boards in Flamengo against Ceara match in the Maracana stadium, where Rio’ team celebrated the achievements of Libertadores Cup and Brasileirao. “We will also be in the next championship with more boards,” told COO Alberto Alfieri to GMB.

The advertising boards in the Maracana stadium had high impact for their frequent appearances on TV broadcasts. In them, Vivagol included the phrases “Congratulations to Mengão” and “Bet on the main European Leagues at Vivagol.com.” Mengão is how Flamengo is also popular named in Brazil.

“This was something to congratulate Flamengo and celebrate the end of Brasilerao championship. The initiative was an idea of our Head of Marketing Pedro Garcia and came up as part of the strategy of getting into the emotional part of football, in line with our brand philosophy,” Alfieri told Games Magazine Brasil.

Asked about if this brand action could be repeated in the future, the COO of Bet Entertainment Technologies had no doubt: "We will also be present at the next edition of the Brasilerao championship with more boards and even more special things.”

"It was an additional point that Flamengo has a Portuguese coach (Jorge Jesus), since our origin as a company comes from that country," explained Alfieri. Bet Entertainment Technologies has strong Portuguese roots and, after three years of leadership in the European gambling market, it was a natural step for them to try to leverage cultural affinities and enter the Brazilian market.

“Brazil represents a great opportunity. Many operators have been active in the market for some time as we are approaching just now, with regulation coming. We prefer to work in regulated structures because we believe it is better for business and customers,” concluded Alfieri.
