The novelty was announced during the OGS Brazil 2019 that took place this week in the Allianz Parque de Sao Paulo. “Our idea is to do a single event next year. We have been doing BGC in June and OGS in December. We want to make a unique event that will bring together the broader BGC content that deals with all the gaming tracking verticals, putting it together with OGS that has a specific look, related with sports betting, and add to it the affiliation part,” explained Sergio Jardim, General Director of Clarion Events Brasil, to Games Magazine Brasil.
The first edition of Gaming Latin America Braszl will be held on October 19 and 20, 2020, at the Sao Paulo Expo Center Norte, in parallel to the iGB Affiliate San Pablo, which will have the same dates and venue.
About the new venue, Jardim explains the reasons for the election: “We will do this on October 19 and 20, not in a hotel but in a pavilion; which means companies will have stands and not small presentation areas like we have done. It's big news for us and we believe it's time to make that change.”
Asked if he could say that Brazil will have its first big gaming fair, Sergio Jardim had no doubt. “We will have a fair addressing part of the gaming market because today the perspective we have is exclusively working with sports betting that is approved in Brazil. If over the next year casinos are approved, for example, that will give the event the proper size of a big gaming fair; because so we can bring the machines that equip the casinos, the tables games and a number of other modalities that are in the casinos and could be brought and exhibited. And, who knows, also other modalities that are presented and approved.”
