The models under discussion in Congress for the legalization of the gambling sector were presented by federal deputy Hugo Leal (PSD-RJ). He argued that the best solution is to approve House of Representatives bill 442/1991.
The bill only authorizes casinos in integrated resorts, which are tourist complexes with hotels, convention centers, concert halls and shopping malls. Gambling establishments can only occupy 5% of the area.
Earlier in the Forum, during the third panel of the event, architect Marcelo Conde, from STX Desenvolvimento Imobiliário, came to show an integrated resort project in Maravilha Port.
The idea was presented to American tyccon Sheldon Adelson, who invests in casinos around the world and has expressed interest in making a venture in Rio de Janeiro.
