Swedish giant Betsson acquires 75% of SUAPOSTA to enter the Brazilian market

Traditional Swedish group Betsson, leader in iGaming in Europe, acquires 75% of SUAPOSTA, first and only 100% licensed betting platform in Brazil. The founders of the local company, André Gelfi and Fernando Corrêa, will lead the business. Betsson already has a significant presence in the horse racing sports betting segment through the Racebets brand, one of the leaders in its segment in continental Europe and the United Kingdom.

SUAPOSTA's pioneering acquisition accelerates the expansion of the European sports betting giant in Brazil, anticipating the regulation of sports betting.

Betsson is a publicly traded Swedish company, licensed in 12 jurisdictions, Stockholm-based multi-vertical operator. The firm has existed since 1963 and, since then, it has now achieved a great reputation among the public.

Due to its growing popularity, the Swedish company has more than 1,000 employees and more than 500,000 active users.

For its part, SUAPOSTA is the first brand of 100% licensed sports betting not Brazil through joint venture with Jockey Clube do Rio Grande do Sul.

The Scandinavian company, whit already half a century of history, is one of the best known and most successful bookmakers in the world, with a significant presence in the horse racing sports betting segment through the Racebets brand, one of the leaders in its segment in continental Europe and the United Kingdom.
